Deryan Visits the Kuwaiti Embassy to Offer Condolences

The media office of the Dar al-Fatwa announced in a statement that "the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, visited the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Lebanon at the head of a large delegation of muftis and scholars to offer condolences and sympathy for the passing of the late Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah." He was received by the Charge d'Affaires of the embassy, Minister Plenipotentiary Abdullah Suleiman Al-Shahin.

Mufti Deryan recorded the following message in the guestbook: "On behalf of myself and the scholars in Lebanon, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Emir of the sister State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the ruling family, the government, and the Kuwaiti people. We ask Allah Almighty to grant him wide mercy, to settle him in the spacious gardens of Paradise, and to place him among the righteous, the prophets, the sincere, the martyrs, and the good people, and how good they are as companions. Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return."

He also prayed to Allah Almighty to grant His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah success for the good of Kuwait and the Arab and Muslim communities, and to continue the journey of goodness, peace, giving, openness, and tolerance that the sisterly State of Kuwait is known for.
