Tehran is witnessing today the funeral and farewell ceremony for Iranian President Ebrahim Raeesi and his companions who lost their lives in a helicopter accident, with widespread public participation in the funeral that took place yesterday in Tabriz before the bodies were transferred to Tehran. Head of the Parliament Nabih Berri departed with a delegation that included Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib, Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council Sheikh Ali Khateeb, member of the leadership of the Amal Movement Dr. Hamdan, media advisor to the Speaker of Parliament Ali Hamdan, and head of the Media Department in the Parliament Ali Diab, to the Iranian capital Tehran to offer condolences. Hezbollah has decided to hold a commemorative event for the late Iranian president and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and their companions this Friday, during which the party's Secretary-General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah will speak. The Iranian embassy in Lebanon announced that condolences will be accepted today and tomorrow between 4 PM and 7 PM.
