Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday, despite the rainy weather and strict Israeli security measures. Many Palestinians from inside Israel and the West Bank were keen to attend the prayer at Al-Aqsa, as hopes rise for a nearby ceasefire to end the war in Gaza.
Children in the Gaza Strip celebrated Eid al-Fitr under harsh humanitarian and health conditions, as the ongoing Israeli war deprived them of enjoying the festive atmosphere. Numerous volunteer initiatives and relief efforts have been activated in the sector to support and provide psychological relief for children during the holiday.
Regarding "Eid Clothing," the Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the implementation of "Good Birds" operation, the 29th aerial drop of humanitarian and relief aid to northern Gaza Strip. The drops included "Eid Clothing" packages containing clothes, shoes, toys, sweets, and various products for all family members to meet the needs of the Palestinian people during this occasion and alleviate their suffering.
The drop, which is part of the “Noble Knight 3” operation, involved two "C17" aircraft from the UAE Air Force, two "C295" aircraft, and a C130 plane from the Egyptian Air Force. The operations took place over isolated areas in northern Gaza that are inaccessible, with five aircraft carrying 85 tons of food and relief aid. Thus, the total amount of aid dropped since the launch of the "Good Birds" operation has reached 1,732 tons of food and relief assistance.
