The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, published a post on the platform "X" today, Wednesday, revealing what he claims is the identity of the official spokesman for the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, "Abu Ubaida." Adraee accompanied the post with a video, stating: "This is the individual known as Huwaida Kahlout, who hides behind the name Abu Ubaida and also conceals himself behind a red keffiyeh, just as Hamas hides behind civilian infrastructures to fire rockets towards Israel."
Adraee continued in his tweet, saying: "Huwaida Kahlout, you have been exposed, and it is time to stop hiding. Your mask and keffiyeh will not protect you from the blows you are taking and the fate of the remaining members of your group."
It is worth noting that this is not the first time a photo of Abu Ubaida has been disclosed, as many social media accounts have previously circulated images of him without the red keffiyeh he is usually seen with. According to the Palestinian news agency "Ma'an," Hamas and the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades have neither confirmed nor denied the Israeli claims to date.
