Israeli Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon

This morning, the Israeli army carried out an airstrike on the town of Tyre Harfa, targeting an empty house. An Israeli drone targeted a car near the public hospital in Bent Jbeil, resulting in injuries. It was reported that the target of the airstrike in Bent Jbeil was Mohammad Alawiya, a Hezbollah official responsible for the Maroun al-Ras area. Around eleven this morning, Israeli warplanes executed aerial attacks, launching missile strikes on the town of Maroun al-Ras in the Bent Jbeil district. The Israeli warplanes also targeted the town of Khiyam. They carried out strikes in two waves on the Al-Awaidha hill between Kfar Kila and Adaisseh in the Marjayoun district, and toward the town of Taybeh. Throughout the night and into the early morning, the Israeli army fired illuminating flares over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line, while reconnaissance aircraft flew over the villages in the districts of Tyre and Bent Jbeil with unusual frequency. There was also noted activity of warplanes flying over these areas in the morning. The villages in both the western and central sectors experienced a tense and cautious night following a wave of heavy artillery shelling and airstrikes, which resulted in the deaths of two members of the Amal Movement and several injuries in an attack on a house in the town of Shihin. The Amal Movement is set to hold the funeral for its members Mohammad Rabih Al-Masri in the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district at 1 PM today, and for Hassan Ali Farroukh in the town of Anqoun in the Sidon district at 3 PM. Due to the Israeli assaults, significant damage has been reported to infrastructure, roads, and the electrical and water networks, as well as to agricultural land.
