The Egyptian artist Yousra praised the activities of the third edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, stating that "the Saudi brilliance extends beyond just organizing festivals and presenting a wonderful artistic edition this year; there is notable development at all artistic and cultural levels." In an interview with "Asharq Al-Awsat," she congratulated Saudi Arabia on hosting the "Expo 2030," saying: "The Kingdom has all the capabilities to present a distinguished expo."
Yousra added: "I support the emergence of new film festivals in the Arab region because cinema is the conscience of society; it is the art that generations have grown up with, as it discusses and translates all the human emotions we experience in our lives." She continued: "I remember as a child going to the cinema, where I found Indian, American, and Egyptian films in theaters, but unfortunately, the number of Egyptian films has decreased recently."
Regarding the reason for the decline in current Egyptian film production, Yousra said: "The current economic crisis has a significant impact on the decrease of production in Egypt." As for her participation in the Ramadan drama race for 2024, Yousra stated: "So far, the picture is not clear for me; I cannot announce my withdrawal from the race, nor can I confirm my participation. I have several ideas and scenarios, but I have not yet determined my direction."
