Employees of the Ministry of Youth and Sports have decided to "stop work indefinitely due to the discrimination occurring between public administration employees." They apologized to all citizens and urged them "not to approach the ministry as it is closed until they are treated equally regarding the benefits received by other departments, which are equally vital, hardworking, and sacrificial." They called for "the initiation of a comprehensive plan for radical, non-palliative solutions to save the public sector from poverty and hunger and restore its dignity."
Similarly, employees of the Ministry of Energy and Water called for "an indefinite work stoppage due to the discrimination occurring among public administration employees who are considered an indivisible unit," apologizing to all citizens and demanding that they also refrain from visiting the ministry as it is closed until their issues are addressed and they are treated equally to other public employees. They posed the question: "What would state officials and ministers do if they had to live on a meager dollar amount per month?" They highlighted that "this aims to address the historic injustice of salaries that do not align with general conditions and the renewed injustice in distribution."
Additionally, the workers' committee at the Ministry of Culture announced a strike and work stoppage starting from the date of this announcement until employees are treated equitably regarding "the benefits received by other departments, which are no less vital and hardworking than others." The workers' committee in the Ministry of Information also declared a strike and work stoppage across all units of the ministry starting from the date of this announcement until they are treated equitably regarding the benefits received by other departments, including, but not limited to, "the National News Agency," which broadcasts around 300 news reports daily across Lebanon.
Employees of the Ministry of Labor in the central administration of the ministry decided, after consultation, to cease all work in protest against the dilution of their demands and condemned the discrimination occurring among public administration employees, which will inevitably harm the public sector.
