The parking area is 18 square meters according to an advertisement published by the real estate agency "Y. Hoile," and it is located in a gated complex on "the most famous and prestigious shopping street in the Netherlands." The parking space on P. C. Hooftstraat, close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museums, can also be rented for 750 euros per month.
This listing has shocked the country, which is severely suffering from a housing crisis, as the asking price for this parking space exceeds the average housing price in the Netherlands, which is 430,000 euros according to a report published at the end of 2023.
