Geologist and seismologist Tony Nemer replied via a tweet on X to the Dutch scientist who warned of a strong earthquake, stating: "Mr. Frank Hoogerbeets continues to entertain us with his seismic predictions, which have become a source of mixed mockery and disgust among the scientific community engaged in seismology. It would be better if he spared people his roaming nonsense about the known tectonic plate boundaries; perhaps he will coincidentally hit a seismic focal point. Science should confront science, not heresies. Enough!"
