The Tunisia national team secured a valuable victory against the Equatorial Guinea team (1-0) in a match held on Wednesday night during the third round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The "Carthage Eagles" owe their win to player Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, who scored the lone winning goal from a penalty in the 82nd minute of the match, at the "Hammadi Agrebi" Stadium in Radès.
With this victory, Tunisia marked its third consecutive win, topping Group H with a perfect score of 9 points. Meanwhile, Equatorial Guinea suffered its first real defeat, having lost the first two matches by decision from FIFA.
It is noteworthy that the group leader will qualify directly for the finals of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
