Mohammad Rad, the head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, confirmed, "We are keen, along with other components and partners in the country, to reach understanding, and then understanding, to achieve consensus, and then consensus, and to engage in partnership without discrimination or favoritism. We deeply regret the lack of response from some to the dialogue that we and Speaker Nabih Berri call for." Rad added, "We are committed to the National Accord Document and adhere to the constitution in both text and spirit. Today, we form a majority in the Cabinet, where we have the quorum that enables the Cabinet to make decisions. However, because we desire understanding and dialogue, we call for partnership in the presence of the Cabinet, and we are patient with those who do not and will not participate in the Cabinet. We only list urgent and necessary matters that concern everyone on the agenda, addressing gaps that harm all, and we do not act as if we are a minority in the Cabinet."
He noted, "Unfortunately, some who refuse dialogue mistakenly believe they possess the majority needed to elect a president of their choice at the expense of our partnership and our views. They want us to attend the parliamentary session only to secure the electoral quorum for them to elect a president who looks out for their interests, even at the expense of others' interests. This logic is incompatible with building a state or preserving stability. Those who refuse dialogue today will seek it out one day."
He stated, "We want to complete the presidential obligation as soon as possible and elect a president acceptable to all Lebanese, who will be trusted with the sovereignty of the homeland and the dignity of the Lebanese at a time when influential international actors are progressing with their normalization agenda with the Israeli enemy, imposing this plan on all regional regimes."
