The President of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, bid farewell to the late Pascal Suleiman, the coordinator of the Forces in the Jbeil district, stating: "Farewell, my comrade Pascal, a true comrade, a son of the cause, a real fighter, honest, upright, a believer, who sacrifices everything even his life for the cause, this is you, Pascal, and this is the Lebanese Forces."
In a speech following Suleiman's funeral ceremonies at St. George's Church in Jbeil, he said, "And now what?" The answer is simple and very clear: "In times of danger, Forces." He emphasized that the confrontation continues and will persist until reaching a true, stable, final shore of safety. He pointed out that "our confrontation is not for revenge, nor is it a reaction or sectarian, regional, or ethnic confrontation, but rather to transition from the bitter, painful, criminal, and failed reality we have lived in for years to a new desirable reality like that of all civilized societies in the world, where individuals live in safety, stability, dignity, freedom, and honor."
Geagea noted that "our confrontation is to move towards a new reality that can accommodate the new generations, their dreams, aspirations, and hopes, ensuring them a decent life, endless opportunities for success, and unlimited future horizons, all in Lebanon and not in any other country."
He stressed that "our confrontation continues with all honorable, free Lebanese until we reach this very point, so that we do not face a new war every 5 or 10 years, so that we do not feel ashamed of our Lebanese passport in front of the world, so that we are not 'branded' as a country of terrorism and captagon, so that assassination, murder, and kidnapping do not continue as happened with Pascal."
