The governor of the region reported that 11 people were injured in a Russian missile attack on a civilian target on Wednesday in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, with one of the injured in serious condition. The shelling caused significant damage to the hotel, shattering windows and balconies and leaving large piles of debris in the street. Kharkiv Governor Oleksiy Sinyhubov stated on Telegram that the attack utilized an S-300 missile but did not provide further details. He added that emergency crews are on-site. The head of the Kharkiv region police, Volodymyr Tymoshko, mentioned that international journalists were staying at the hotel, and noted that one of the injured is a Turkish journalist. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
