Jordanian King Abdullah II met today, Sunday, with the former president of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, at the Al-Husseiniya Palace, where they discussed developments in the region. King Abdullah emphasized "the need to achieve an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza" and the importance of continuing to deliver humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip to prevent the worsening of the humanitarian disaster." He warned of the dangers of the conflict expanding in the region, stressing the importance of stability and sustained security in Lebanon.
