North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called for the production of more nuclear materials that can be used in weapon manufacturing to enhance his country's arsenal, stating that Pyongyang must be ready to use these weapons at any time. Kim indicated that the enemy of North Korea's nuclear forces is not a specific country or group. He emphasized that the policy to increase the country's nuclear arsenal aims solely to protect it and maintain regional peace and stability.
Kim made these remarks during his inspection of North Korea's nuclear weapons program, which includes new tactical nuclear weapons and technology for delivering nuclear warheads on ballistic missiles, as well as testing plans for conducting a counter-nuclear attack, according to the Korean Central News Agency.
On Monday, North Korea launched ballistic missiles and conducted a simulation of a counter-nuclear attack last week against the United States and South Korea, which it accuses of preparing for an invasion through their military drills.
