Bayern Munich is facing a complicated crisis in negotiations to renew the contract of their star, Alphonso Davies, the team's left-back, who is attracting interest from Real Madrid. The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported, citing German reports, that the Bavarian club offered an annual salary of 12 million euros to renew Davies's contract, which expires in the summer of 2025. However, the Canadian player has demanded a salary of 20 million euros per season, which is comparable to what he is being offered by Real Madrid.
It continued that if negotiations between Bayern Munich and the player fail, the German club would have to put Alphonso Davies up for sale for 70 million euros. Marca also noted that this amount is far beyond the budget that Real Madrid has allocated to finalize the deal for the Canadian player.
It was mentioned that Bayern Munich is also preparing to sign a new left-back next summer in anticipation of Davies's potential departure. The report confirmed that Miguel Gutiérrez, the left-back from Girona, is at the top of the Bavarian club's interests, but there is another obstacle caused by Real Madrid as well.
The Spanish newspaper clarified that Real Madrid has included a clause that allows them to reclaim Gutiérrez from Girona and is not inclined towards the policy of selling the player directly. Marca concluded its report by stating: "If Bayern Munich wants to acquire Gutiérrez, they need to negotiate first with Girona on the financial terms, after which half of the amount will go to Real Madrid."
