The media apparatus of the Kataeb Party stated in a statement that "the Syrian National Party has come out today with a statement in response to the head of the Kataeb Party, Deputy Sami Gemayel, and we do not know exactly what it is responding to, nor do we know which branch of the remnants of the National Party issued the statement to understand how to engage with it. Deputy Gemayel did not mention this party or its fragmented offshoots at all in his speech yesterday, confirming that there are two main issues behind this response: either the continuation of the campaign initiated by Hezbollah against Gemayel through its minor affiliates, of which the National Party is a part, or the feeling that he has been impacted by the discussion about the convicted murderer from the highest judicial authority in Lebanon for the murder of a President, thus adopting 'Shartouni,' which necessitates the immediate and unhesitating dissolution of this party and its remnants. Speaking of sizes and weight, the last one entitled to speak on this matter is one whose counterparts and handlers have neither assisted him nor created any weight for him, even if artificially."
The National Party issued a statement from its media department, which read: "The Syrian National Party fully understands the miserable psychological state that Deputy Sami Gemayel has reached due to his inability to translate the various demands of his handlers, in addition to his failure to keep up with his competitors within the same team, who outpace him in popularity and politics. The party believes that it is natural for someone in such a bankrupt situation to throw insults right and left, and that these insults are an insult to the issuer themselves and a sign of their significant bankruptcy. The party calls on nationalists and supporters not to be drawn into such discourse, not to divert attention from the existential battle with the enemy, and not to be distracted by nonsense that neither enriches nor satisfies hunger, while affirming that opposing and attacking those of no weight or value only elevates the opponent further."
