Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly condemned the attack carried out by the Israeli army yesterday, Sunday, on a refugee camp in northwestern Rafah, southern Gaza Strip. He stated via the "X" platform: "The murderers bombarded civilians in the Rafah refugee camp, which has been declared a safe area, with bombs and missiles, resulting in the death of more than 36,000 Palestinians so far." He added: "This massacre, which occurred after the International Court of Justice's call to stop the attacks, once again revealed the bloody and treacherous face of the terrorist state."
Erdogan affirmed that "as long as Netanyahu and his killing network are unable to break the heroic resistance of the Palestinian people, they are trapped in their country, trying to prolong their political lives by spilling more blood, but Netanyahu will soon see that this is futile."
He pointed out that "Netanyahu will not be able to avoid being mentioned with curses, like the late Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and other historical tyrants he emulates." The Turkish president emphasized that "his country will do everything it can to hold these murderers and barbarians accountable, who have no trace of humanity," according to his statement.
The Gaza Civil Defense Directorate announced that the death toll from the Israeli bombing of tents for displaced persons in northwestern Rafah has risen to 40, in addition to dozens of wounded.
