The debris of the "Long March 2C" space rocket, launched jointly by China and France, fell in a populated area in China on Saturday. The spacecraft, along with the satellite known as the Space Variable Objects Monitor (SVOM), was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center at 3:00 AM on June 22 (local time). Shortly after the launch, a part of the rocket, reported to be the booster, fell to the ground.
