The State Department stated in an interview with Al-Hadath channel: "Hezbollah is exploiting the political vacuum in Lebanon, and we want the state and the Lebanese army to have control over the entire border." It added: "There is no discussion with Iran regarding Lebanon." The U.S. State Department pointed out that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Israel wants a diplomatic solution on the northern front. Additionally, the U.S. State Department spokesperson called on Iran to "stop supporting and arming its proxies in the region."
