Hamas leader Osama Hamdan stated in an interview with Al Arabi Television that "the enemy has intensified its massacres against our people in Gaza to exert pressure in the negotiations concerning a ceasefire in the sector and a prisoner exchange." He mentioned that "the enemy tried to divert attention from its crime in Khan Younis by claiming to target resistance leaders," referring to the alleged targeting of the commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammad Deif, in the Khan Younis massacre, which Hamas denied. Hamdan emphasized that "the massacres of the occupation affirm Hamas's stance on the necessity of stopping the aggression before executing any agreement."
