New British Foreign Secretary Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

New British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called for an "immediate ceasefire" in Gaza, in his first statement following his appointment today, Friday. Lammy, who took over the foreign affairs portfolio after the Labour Party's victory in the legislative elections, stated that he would "work (...) to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages," adding, "I will do everything I can to help President Joe Biden reach a ceasefire."
