The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces announced in a statement that, as part of their ongoing efforts to combat drug smuggling operations, on June 13, 2024, airport inspection units of the Internal Security Forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle 6.416 kg of hashish to an Arab country. It was clarified that "the quantity of hashish was concealed inside the suitcase of a passenger named F.M. (born in 1998, Egyptian)." She was interrogated and was detained along with the seized items at the Central Anti-Drug Office of the Judicial Police Unit for further investigation, following the instructions of the relevant judiciary.
