"Harassment of Minors"... In Custody of Security Forces

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division reported that "in the context of ongoing efforts by the internal security forces to pursue individuals involved in various crimes across all Lebanese regions and apprehend them, information became available to the Southern Investigation Division of the regional gendarmerie regarding an individual harassing minor children."

It clarified in a statement that "based on this, the division intensified its investigations and inquiries, identifying the suspect, named B. N. (born in 1980, Palestinian). As a result of cross-referencing information, it became apparent that he was also involved in motorcycle thefts in and around the city of Sidon."

The directorate announced, "Subsequently, after a surveillance operation, one of the division's patrols managed to locate him and set up a tight ambush, successfully apprehending him while on a stolen motorcycle, which was seized. Upon searching him, a sum of money was found in his possession." It added, "He was handed over with the seized items to the Haret Saida police station for legal proceedings against him, based on the judiciary's instructions."
