Abu Dhabi continues its diligent efforts to build a smart and sustainable transportation future that serves as a global model, through strategic partnerships, attracting companies and innovators in this sector from around the world, offering facilities and incentives, and launching initiatives and programs to explore and develop smart and autonomous mobility solutions for sustainable transportation. This is part of Abu Dhabi's vision aimed at enhancing its leadership as a friendly city that supports smart mobility.

During the first edition of the Abu Dhabi Mobility Week, held from April 24 to May 1, 2024, the emirate witnessed the launch of the first passenger drone flight of its kind in the Middle East. The "Multi Level" group, specialized in advanced automation solutions and digital transformation, in collaboration with "Abu Dhabi Mobility," showcased its latest technologies, including two drones: the first being a five-seater drone capable of traveling over 250 kilometers with a payload of up to 350 kilograms, and the second being a smaller drone capable of carrying two people for distances of up to 35 kilometers for around 20 minutes.

This achievement adds to Abu Dhabi's growing list of accomplishments in this vital sector, solidifying its status as a global capital for smart and autonomous transport and vehicle solutions. The emirate benefits from a developed infrastructure in artificial intelligence and smart vehicle technologies, which includes a smart and autonomous vehicle manufacturing complex in Masdar City, contributing to the advancement and innovation in this field and reaffirming Abu Dhabi's position as a leading city that supports smart and sustainable transport.

The event was held at the "Advanced Mobility Hub," in collaboration with the "Emirates Falcon Aviation Academy,” and featured the presentation of several drones by the "Multi Level" group, showcasing their expertise and innovation in aviation. Among the highlights was the inaugural flight of a passenger drone, marking a historic moment as the first flight of an electric vertical take-off passenger aircraft in Al Ain.

The event achieved an unprecedented milestone, with the five-seater drone completing a 40-minute flight covering 123 kilometers, representing the longest flight of a drone in a significant technological achievement, while the drone flew displaying the name of the United Arab Emirates, capturing the attention of onlookers.
