Mawlawi: Lebanon Belongs to Everyone, Not to a Sect or Party

Interior Minister in the caretaker government, Bassam Mawlawi, delivered a speech during the graduation ceremony of AUST students, where he pointed out that "Lebanon can build the nation through education and rid itself of extremism, injustice, and hate speech." Mawlawi affirmed that "Lebanon belongs to everyone, not to a sect or party, but to all its children," emphasizing the need to "protect our unity and distance ourselves from division." He urged "Lebanese students to build their nation as they do in the countries they travel to." He stated, "We will seize our right to live, and we will reconstruct Lebanon with the hands of its children." Mawlawi praised "the efforts of the security forces, without which Lebanon would not enjoy security," highlighting "the role of private institutions and the necessity to enhance individual initiatives in protecting Lebanon."
