A Spanish media report today, Wednesday, indicated that there are six players at risk of leaving Real Madrid in the upcoming summer transfer window. According to "Mundo Deportivo," four players have contracts expiring at Santiago Bernabéu by the summer of 2024: Luka Modrić, Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernández, and Lucas Vázquez. Meanwhile, the duo of Joselu Mato and Kepa Arrizabalaga is on loan until the end of the season.
The newspaper addressed the situation of each player individually, especially amid rumors linking them all with departures.
**Luka Modrić**
The 38-year-old Croatian does not intend to retire, and everything suggests he is willing to stay for another year; however, it seems Real Madrid does not plan to renew his contract. The legendary player is being courted by major clubs in Saudi Arabia.
**Toni Kroos**
The 34-year-old German is a key player for Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti. The club wants to keep him for another season, but Kroos's own actions are ambiguous, to the extent that he could decide to retire. Although it appears unlikely, Kroos could choose to do anything.
**Nacho Fernández**
The 34-year-old player was already close to leaving Real Madrid last season but ended up renewing his contract. Now the same situation is repeating, and Real Madrid will accept his decision whether he wants to stay or leave.
**Lucas Vázquez**
Turning 33 in July, he was already close to leaving Real Madrid in 2021 during his last renewal. The club would be happy for him to continue, and it seems the player is also committed to staying at Real Madrid.
**Joselu**
He will be 34 on March 27 and is playing on loan from Espanyol until June 30. Real Madrid must pay €1.5 million to retain him, and it appears the club intends to pay this amount to keep the forward.
**Kepa Arrizabalaga**
The 29-year-old goalkeeper arrived on loan from Chelsea after Thibaut Courtois's injury, but he has been sitting on the bench behind goalkeeper Andriy Lunin. Everything suggests Kepa will return to Chelsea in the summer, as Real is not prepared to pay €20 million to keep him.
