Arrest of Drug Dealer in Sidon

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement today, Saturday, stating: "In the context of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue drug dealers and traffickers in various Lebanese regions and arrest them, information was received by the Information Branch regarding an unidentified individual promoting drugs in the city of Sidon, using a silver four-wheel-drive vehicle type 'Range Rover' without license plates."

As a result, the specialized units in the branch began field and informational procedures to identify and apprehend the suspect. The statement continued: "As a result of intense investigations and inquiries, they were able to determine his identity; it turned out that he was traveling from Beirut to Sidon in the mentioned vehicle to promote drugs, and his name is: D. Q. (born in 1982, Lebanese)."

He was promoting drugs using the Range Rover to multiple clients in Sidon, and the Information Branch identified his identity, arrested him, and seized a quantity of cocaine base prepared for distribution.

After careful monitoring, one of the branch patrols managed to spot him in his "Range Rover" in the town of Burj Rahal, where a well-planned ambush led to his arrest. Upon searching him and the vehicle, 35 bags containing cocaine base prepared for distribution were seized.

During the investigation, he confessed to the charges of selling drugs to several clients in Sidon. He also admitted to drug use. Legal action was taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was handed over to the relevant authority, in accordance with the directives of the competent judiciary.
