The head of the Rmeish municipality, Milad Al-Alam, clarified the circumstances, confirming that members of the resistance attempted to launch attacks from within the town among the homes, prompting local youths to confront them, leading the attackers to move to the Pine Forest to carry out their launches from there, despite it being close to the town. The church bells rang as residents gathered to express their rejection of what happened.
He emphasized that "the residents allowed the resistance to launch from the town's outskirts but not from within the town and among the houses,” pointing out that around 7,000 people live in the town, asserting that "one cannot compromise the lives of these people."
