The Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of three individuals accused of terrorism and a gang involved in human organ trafficking in the Karkh side of the capital. The command stated in a statement: "Through ongoing security operations and area searches, and with accurate information and exceptional efforts from intelligence agencies in coordination with our command's intelligence and security division, our security forces from the Federal Police divisions (fifth and second), in separate operations, managed to apprehend three individuals accused of terrorism, affiliated with ISIS terrorist groups, after precise intelligence indicated their presence and monitored their movements within the responsibility area in the Al-Sha'la and Al-Jamia neighborhoods."
It added that "a human organ trafficking gang consisting of three individuals, including a woman, was arrested, and the vehicle in their possession was seized after a carefully executed ambush at the fourth police/ agricultural sector area in Karkh," noting that "the suspects were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the legal proceedings against them."
