Japanese midfielder Kaishu Sano has been arrested on charges related to a sexual assault case, just a few months after his teammate Junya Ito faced similar accusations. Ito was expelled from the Japanese national team during the recent Asian Cup held in Qatar after being accused of sexual assault. Sano, 23, was arrested alongside two other men for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a woman in her thirties at a hotel in Tokyo, according to Japan's NHK broadcasting system. The network reported that the victim contacted the police following the incident, leading to the arrest of the three men near the hotel. Sano recently signed with German club Mainz and was part of his country's squad for the recent Asian Cup, which also saw French club Reims player Ito removed from the tournament after police confirmed they received complaints from two women accusing the right winger of sexual assault in October in Osaka, following a friendly match between Japan and Peru.
