Hollywood star Will Smith was a guest on media personality Amr Adib's "Podcast Big Time" on the "Shahid" platform, where they discussed various intriguing topics and highlighted several aspects of the beloved star's life. One of the surprises Smith revealed was that he had read the Quran completely during Ramadan.
Smith stated, "I adore spirituality," noting that the last two years of his life had been difficult, prompting him to reflect on his inner self. He mentioned that during this period, he read all the holy books, including the Quran. He said, "I read the Quran from cover to cover during that Ramadan."
He added that this experience was part of his "search for spirituality in my life... it was a time in my life where I wanted to expand my heart as much as possible to embrace as many people as I could." Smith also talked about the meanings in the Quran and how the story of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) impacted him.
When asked about what he discovered from reading the Quran in its entirety, the Hollywood star expressed his surprise at the number of times the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) is mentioned in the Quran, noting that it was quite interesting and that his story and experience greatly affected him. He added, "I was impressed by the simplicity... the Quran is simple, and the matters in it are very clear, like glass... it's very difficult to come away with any misunderstanding after reading it," to which Amr Adib commented that "there are those who misinterpret it."
What did Will Smith do during his first visit to Saudi Arabia? He also indicated that he read all of the holy scriptures and expressed admiration for how everything seemed like one story from the Torah to the Gospel to the Quran, saying: "The connection between them never ceased," referring to the Abrahamic lineage and how Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) is the father from whom Prophets Ishmael and Isaac (peace be upon them) descended. He expressed his happiness in understanding the full picture.
