Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, confirmed today, Tuesday, during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Kingdom's commitment and support for resolving the Ukrainian crisis. The Saudi Crown Prince emphasized the continued efforts to alleviate the humanitarian impacts of the Ukrainian crisis. A statement published on the social media account of President Volodymyr Zelensky on platform "X" indicated that "the president arrived today, Tuesday, in Saudi Arabia for a working visit to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman."
Zelensky stated, "The main topics of discussion will be the framework of the peace formula established by Kyiv to end the Russian invasion, the return of prisoners, and the displaced." He added, "We are very close now to holding the first peace summit, and we rely on the continued effective support from Saudi Arabia."

Saudi Arabia has previously mediated prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia. Zelensky expressed confidence that his meeting today "will yield results" in this regard. Ukraine has held several multilateral meetings to discuss the peace formula with representatives from dozens of countries. Kyiv hopes to hold a peace summit in Switzerland this spring with the participation of leaders from those nations.
