Russian Animated Films Now Available in the Middle East

The press service of the Russian animation studio "Soyuzmultfilm" announced that "more than 50 hours of its content will be showcased on the Middle Eastern online platform 1001.tv." Among these are animated films such as "Well, Just You Wait!", "The Holiday", "Umka", "Benoitki", "Chush–Miaotch", "Secrets of the Honey Valley", "Orange Cow", and "Plastilinki". These films will be added to the online cinema library available to viewers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, and 20 other countries.

The Chairwoman of the "Soyuzmultfilm" studio stated: "This extensive partnership has become possible because the workshop's films align with the requirements of the Middle Eastern market in terms of safety and the formation of traditional family values." She added: "This deal is one of the first in a series of partnerships with Middle Eastern countries, which represents our export priority. We have presented our new film projects taking into account various age groups and using different cinematic technologies to be displayed on the 1001.tv platform, allowing Arab viewers to gain a comprehensive understanding of current Russian animation."

It was noted that the geographical distribution of films from the Russian studio encompasses more than 80 countries. It is worth mentioning that the 1001.tv platform broadcasts in Arabic with a focus on the Middle East. The platform is supported by the "Al Sharqiya" channel, the largest media and television group in Iraq, and is now one of the fastest-growing platforms in the region. The streaming service amassed over one million subscribers in the first three weeks since its launch in the Middle East in 2023.
