Musab Yusuf, son of prominent Hamas leader Hassan Yusuf, announced his opposition to the two-state solution, claiming that "the Palestinian Authority represents a greater threat than Hamas." Musab Yusuf drew widespread attention with his 2010 book titled "Son of Hamas," in which he revealed his connections to the Mossad and his betrayal of Hamas. The book was later adapted into a film titled "The Green Prince" in 2014.
In statements during the annual conference of the Jerusalem Post, Yusuf stated: "Palestine depends on the destruction of Israel. If there is any definition of Palestine, it means the absence of Israel." The newspaper referred to "The Green Prince" as a former terrorist who defected to Israel in 1997 and acted as a spy for the Israeli internal security service (Shin Bet) until he moved to the United States in 2007.
Musab added: "For those who support the two-state solution, they either want the elimination of Israel or they are unaware of this existential threat." It is noteworthy that Hassan Yusuf is one of the prominent Hamas leaders in the West Bank and was a member of the legislative council elected in 2006. He was first arrested at the age of 16. In the early 1990s, he was re-arrested for belonging to Hamas and was exiled in 1992 to Marj al-Zuhur in southern Lebanon for a year. His arrests later repeated, totaling about 16 times.
