Biden noted in his article that the Iranian regime "seeks to destroy Israel forever and erase the only Jewish state in the world from the map." The U.S. president stated in his article, "Both Ukraine and Israel are under attack from brazen adversaries seeking to annihilate them. Mr. Putin wants to subjugate the people of Ukraine and annex their nation into a new Russian empire. The Iranian government wants to destroy Israel forever, erasing the only Jewish state in the world from the map."
He added, "America should never accept either of these outcomes—not only because we are defending our friends, but because our own security is at stake as well." Biden highlighted the unprecedented Iranian attack against Israel over the weekend, adding, "At about the same time, roughly 1,500 miles north, Russia continued its bombardment of Ukraine, which has significantly intensified in the past month."
The U.S. president stated, "Both Ukraine and Israel have defended themselves against these attacks, maintaining their lines and protecting their citizens. Both have done so with critical assistance from the United States."
