The World Health Organization has canceled another scheduled medical aid mission today, Wednesday, due to security concerns. The Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that the canceled mission is the sixth for northern Gaza, which the organization has canceled due to the lack of approval for visit requests and the absence of security assurances since the last visit on December 26. He emphasized in a virtual press conference from Geneva that intense bombardment, movement restrictions, fuel shortages, and communication disruptions make it impossible for the WHO and its partners to access those in need... We call on Israel to approve the requests from the WHO and other partners for humanitarian assistance.
