The Israeli army announced today, Saturday, the rescue of 4 live hostages from the Al-Nuseirat area in Gaza. In a statement, it said: "In a complex operation by the Defense Forces, the Shin Bet, and the police (special police unit), four Israeli captives were freed this morning: Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir (21), Andrey Kuzlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40), who were kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova festival on October 7."
It was noted that "the health condition of the hostages is good, and they have been transferred for medical examinations at Tel Hashomer Hospital." The statement further added that "security forces will continue to work by all means to rescue the remaining hostages."
Defense Minister Benny Gantz stated that the hostage rescue operation occurred after intense gunfire exchanged with Hamas militants. He added, "We will continue our operations to free the 120 hostages held by Hamas." Gantz has postponed making a decision regarding his resignation following the rescue of the 4 hostages from Gaza today.
