Information has revealed the arrest of the brother of the shooter at the U.S. Embassy in a swift and specialized operation by State Security in Majdal Anjar, in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate. The Intelligence Directorate in Baalbek received Sheikh Malik Jha for his suspected involvement in the shooting incident at the U.S. Embassy, after he sought refuge with a prominent entity in the area. Sheikh Malik Jha was arrested in front of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in Majdal Anjar. The shooter at the embassy, Qais Al-Faraj, received religious education from Jha. It is noteworthy that Al-Faraj is registered with the Refugee Commission. This handover comes after several raids in the town of Majdal Anjar, carried out by State Security in Baalbek in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate. The area surrounding the U.S. Embassy in Awkar was fired upon by three armed individuals before embassy security and the Lebanese Army intervened and fired back at the attackers.
