The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the "killing of dozens of terrorists during an operation in the northern Latakia countryside in cooperation with friendly Russian aviation, as well as the interception of drones launched by the militants towards the southern Idlib countryside."
The Syrian Defense statement reported: "Units of our forces operating in the northern Latakia countryside, in collaboration with friendly Russian aircraft, targeted the terrorists' headquarters and fortifications, leading to their complete destruction and the killing and injury of dozens of them, including leaders from the so-called Turkistan Islamic Party."
The statement further added: "Our units operating in the southern Idlib countryside repelled a terrorist attack launched by armed terrorist organizations, inflicting heavy losses in equipment and weapons on them, resulting in dozens of terrorists being killed or wounded."
The Syrian Defense statement concluded: "Our units in the same area were also able to down and destroy several explosive drones used by the terrorists in an attempt to attack our military positions and the surrounding safe villages and towns."
