Bahrain's King Calls for Ending Disputes and Emphasizing Peace

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasized that while we protect our interests and those of the world in the region, it is the duty of friends and partners worldwide to consider the circumstances and challenges facing the area. He urged a clear and committed stance to prevent dangers and confront destructive hegemonic policies, while adopting comprehensive strategic cooperation agreements in security, economy, and development.

During the weekly regular meeting of the Cabinet, the Bahraini monarch highlighted the importance of rejecting disputes, uniting, and pursuing peace and good neighborliness in mutual bilateral and regional relations. He called for moving away from aggressive policies and proxy wars, ensuring that decisions made by our countries stem from our own interests, based on cohesion to address challenges that threaten the region's stability, such as the situation in occupied Gaza and threats to navigation in the Red Sea.

Following that, the Cabinet expressed its congratulations to the newly elected Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian on his victory in the Iranian presidential elections, reaffirming the Kingdom of Bahrain's eagerness to establish normal relations based on cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The council also congratulated Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, on his appointment, wishing him success in leading his country towards further progress and prosperity.
