Al-Safadi: No Israeli Partner for Peace

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi emphasized the importance of stopping the war on Gaza, stating, "What Israel is doing by killing children, destroying schools, and disregarding international law, and the credibility of all international organizations is a harm and a crime that must stop." This statement was made during a joint press conference held today, Wednesday, in Athens with his Greek counterpart Giorgos Yerabeyritis. He remarked, "Israel is not only preventing food, medicine, water, and services from reaching Gaza, but it also blocks UN organizations from delivering this little aid to those in need in Gaza." He pointed out that "there is a partner for peace in the Arab world, but the truth is there is no Israeli partner for peace, as we are dealing with the most extreme government, which continues its aggression on Gaza, uses starvation as a weapon, and destroys the infrastructure in Gaza. There is also another war waged by Israel in the West Bank, where settlement continues, and the terrorism of settlers against Palestinians persists." Al-Safadi called for a comprehensive plan that not only stops the war but also leads to a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
