The Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, and the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Majid Amani, discussed the recent events concerning Palestine that occurred yesterday. Majid Amani, speaking from Dar al-Fatwa, pointed out that "our discussion focused on the heroic operations that took place on Saturday, which are a form of self-defense against the arrogance and crimes of the Zionist entity that the Palestinians have endured for so long." He stated, "The Islamic community must support the Palestinians and prevent Islamic governments and peoples from allowing the Zionist entity to continue its attacks and crimes in Gaza, as we are witnessing these days. There is agreement on the necessity to stop these barbaric attacks against the people of Gaza and against Muslims in Gaza, and there must be international support for this issue."
The Mufti Deryan also received a delegation from the Graphic Designers Syndicate in Lebanon, led by Ali Kamal al-Din, which included Nasser Qawas, George Abu Zeid, and Nivine Fakhouri. The delegation presented an invitation to the Mufti to attend the fifth honoring ceremony organized by the syndicate on the 21st of this month at the "Lancaster" Hotel in Raouché.
Additionally, the Mufti Deryan welcomed the Chairman of the Leadership Council of the "Free Nasserites" movement, Ziad al-Ajuz, accompanied by lawyer Firas al-Da’qouq. After the meeting, al-Ajuz stated, "We praised His Eminence's commendable position regarding the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. It is an honor for us in the Free Nasserites movement to fully adopt this stance from beginning to end." He added, "Our first practical step will be to establish the Popular Sunni Front that resonates with the pains of our people, carries their concerns, and defends them in light of the absence of a political reference to protect them. This front will not enter narrow political alleyways but will represent a significant milestone in the national work that complements the efforts of other sincere sects."
Among the visitors to the Mufti was Omar Zain, the former Secretary-General of the Arab Lawyers Union, and they discussed general conditions.
