Israeli airstrikes on specific locations in southern Lebanon continue in response to rockets launched from Lebanon targeting Safed in Israel. Yesterday evening, an Israeli drone targeted a building in the city of Nabatieh, resulting in an unofficial count of 9 fatalities, according to a security source, bringing the total number of people killed in strikes carried out by Israel on Wednesday to 13. The source added that the airstrike targeted a residential apartment in a three-story building, where a guided missile caused severe damage and significant structural cracks in the building, which is at risk of collapse, and led to injuries among the residents. The airstrike also resulted in damage to some nearby vehicles and buildings. Earlier, 4 civilians were killed and 9 others were wounded in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon. Hezbollah confirmed the death of one of its members in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Adchit. Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi warned of the potential for war in the north, threatening Hezbollah that the army "will use all its tools and capabilities." Halevi mentioned in a speech to several mayors in northern Israel that "the road is still long" to change the security situation on the border with Lebanon, amidst daily attacks launched by Hezbollah. He noted that the Israeli army is increasing its strikes on Hezbollah, which is paying "increasing costs." Earlier, the newspapers "Times of Israel" and "Haaretz" reported that the rocket attack from Lebanon struck the Safed area in northern Israel. U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan expressed his country's concern about the possibility of escalation between Israel and Hezbollah, and the potential for rockets from Hezbollah to reach deep into Israel, stating: "We continue to work to ensure Israel's security from the northern front."
