Golf Club Continues Its Success and Concludes the

The "Spring" tennis tournament organized by the Golf Club under the supervision of the Lebanese Tennis Federation for the veterans' categories for the year 2023 has concluded. The tournament took place on its clay courts in the Janaah area, featuring participation from 111 players who competed over a week in both singles and doubles categories.

The closing ceremony was attended by several officials, including the representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mohammed Awad, the President of the Lebanese Golf Federation and the Golf Club, Karim Slim Salam, the Vice President of the Lebanese Tennis Federation and Tournament Director, Hassan Daouq, the Federation's Director Najah Abu Khalil, and representatives from Yonex and the Tennis Committee.

The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a speech from the tournament director Hassan Daouq, who highlighted the importance of the tournament as the opening of the season's activities for the sport. He announced further activities for the Golf Club this season, including two international junior tournaments to be held under the supervision of the International Tennis Federation in August and September.

Daouq expressed gratitude for Awad's support for the club's activities and the efforts of the federation in developing the sport and supporting clubs. He also thanked the Golf Club management for their assistance in organizing events and Mr. Imad Al-Jamil for his initiative in providing trophies and medals for the winners, as well as the head of the referees committee, Jui Khalil, and coach Mazen Daroub for their logistical efforts.

He then announced the final results as follows:

- Singles over 35 years: Mohammed Ataya defeated Malik Salem 6 – 0, 6 – 1

- Singles over 45 years: Peter Bou Aoun defeated Mario Ghosn 6 – 2, 6 – 2

- Singles over 55 years: Mohammed Mohieddine defeated Moussa Atta 6 – 2, 6 – 3

- Singles over 65 years: Mohammed Abdel Khalek defeated Hassan Daouq 6 – 2, 5 – 7, 10 - 8

- Doubles over 35 years: Mohammed Ataya and Mazen Daroub defeated Eli Shekiban and Karim Farhat 6 – 3, 6 – 3

- Doubles over 45 years: Peter Bou Aoun and George Qablane defeated Mohammed Mahmoud and Zahrour Radwan 6 – 4, 6 – 4, 10 – 6

- Doubles over 55 years: Fouad Khati and Mohammed Mohieddine defeated Issam Alam and Hadi Sawaya 6 – 4, 6 – 1
