Paris Shops Fortify Ahead of Election Results (Video)

Shop owners on the Champs-Élysées in Paris rushed today, Sunday, to install iron shields and wooden boards on their storefronts and windows, anticipating potential riots that may erupt following the second round of elections. Shops like "Dior," "Louis Vuitton," and "Saint Laurent" have already prepared for possible disturbances that could arise after the announcement of the results of the second round of the French parliamentary elections.

The French Ministry of the Interior had previously issued a similar warning, stating that over 30,000 security personnel would be deployed to ensure safety in France, including 5,000 in Paris and its suburbs, in anticipation of protests.

Additionally, nearby medium-sized shops on the famous street also installed plywood boards to protect their windows and doors. Shop owners on the main shopping street of Rivoli and in the Grand Boulevards area did the same. Currently, traffic on the Champs-Élysées is partially closed, with police present in the area.
