The Korean Cultural Center and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the UAE have launched the eighth edition of the Korean Film Festival 2024, which will take place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai throughout July. Film enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of Korean films at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi from July 4 to July 7, and at Festival City Mall from July 12 to July 14.
This year's festival explores the theme of "freedom," showcasing a diverse selection of films that tell stories from different eras, catering to all tastes and ages. The festival features eight diverse Korean films, including fantasy, comedy, historical drama, mystery, music, and independent films. Korean cinema has received significant acclaim from the Emirati audience, making the festival an ideal opportunity for movie lovers to enjoy these unique cinematic stories during the summer break.
His Excellency Yoo Jae-sung, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE, stated, "Korean cinema has become an important part of Korean cultural heritage," emphasizing that the Korean Film Festival serves as an important platform for introducing Korean culture and its noble human values.
