The heavy rainfall that the Al-Jawf region has recently experienced has created natural lakes amidst the sands and wilderness, along with flowing streams and valleys. These water bodies have drawn groups of youth and some families to picnic by their shores and enjoy the stunning scenery. Outdoor enthusiasts traveled to these rainwater gathering sites in vehicles, bringing complete gear to spend delightful times among the breathtaking landscapes of shimmering waters and the reflection of golden sunlight on the lake's surface, alongside picturesque moments of sunset that paint a scene of the golden sun disk against the vast sky and lake surface.
Some youths made sure to prepare Saudi coffee and tea close to the lakes and water gatherings in the wild, savoring it with the fragrance of nature mingled with the scent of rain. Friends and loved ones gathered in tranquil sessions to relax and unwind. Some families also brought chairs to sit in front of the water bodies and lakes, enjoying moments of calm and privacy. Meanwhile, some youths and children preferred to wade into the rain lakes for a refreshing experience, enjoying moments of fun and play in the water, splashing the lake's surface to send droplets flying.
In recent days, the Al-Jawf region has witnessed heavy to moderate rainfall that caused several streams and valleys to flow, creating natural scenes of waterfalls, rainbows, heavy rainclouds, and lakes. The rainy atmosphere attracted many rain lovers and sightseers to the newly formed lakes, where water flowed amidst the sands and cascaded from elevated rocky areas, resembling waterfalls. Additionally, rainbows appeared in the sky, alongside rainclouds and heavy rain showers on the roads.
The rainfall affected Al-Qurayyat governorate and several affiliated centers, including Al-Nasifah, Al-Eisawiyah, Al-Wadi, Quleb Khedr, as well as Al-Turbjil governorate and its various centers and villages, and Duma Al-Jandal governorate, and the centers of Suwayr, Zuloom, and Talat Ammar.
