Olympic champion Mutaz Essa Barshim presents Qatar with the bronze medal in the high jump event at the conclusion of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Barshim achieved a height of 2.34 meters, and after failing to clear 2.36 meters in two attempts, he secured the bronze medal after Italian Sottile failed to clear the same height. Barshim executed his last attempt at 2.38 meters but was not successful. New Zealander Hamish Kerr won the gold medal in the event, finishing ahead of American Shelby McEwen after tiebreak rounds.
