So far, there has been no comment from Hezbollah regarding the airstrike in Janata in Tyre, which was accompanied by widespread rumors that circulated extensively on social media and even on Arabic and international news sites. As has become known, the rumors focused on the alleged killing of Hezbollah leader Hashim Safi al-Din and the party's Deputy Secretary-General Naeem Qassem. Confirmed information indicates that the Janata airstrike resulted in the deaths of two civilian women, Dalal Mahmoud Aziz al-Din and her neighbor, along with a young woman from their town, Sally Hussein Skiki. It is also confirmed that the Israeli army itself did not claim to have attempted to assassinate any of the leaders, but the Israeli army radio stated that "the targeted building in Janata was rented by Hezbollah and was evacuated before the Israeli strike," noting that the two deceased and the twenty injured "fell in a building adjacent to the targeted structure."
